In this DIY project, Britt shows how she got started with a custom-sawn carpentry panel. She chose pine because it fits very well with the Ikea cabinets. Read more about her experience below.

A storage and play area in one. A children's play table with storage space.

How I made this project

We used 2 pine Ikea Trofast storage cabinets (with bins) and we ordered a pine shelf online with rounded long side. This way we have made a very nice gaming table in a handy and quick way. Completely custom!

Dimensions of my DIY project

Outside dimensions are: 45.0 cm deep, 260.0 cm long, 55.0 cm high.
But the length can be made to any desired size provided there is sufficient space between the two cabinets.
